A couple of weeks ago the lovely Rickina, creator and owner of Stick Me Designs, posted on facebook about wanting to give us bloggers a chance to test and blog about her product. I jumped at the chance because I've honestly been wanting a Stick Me bag for a while, but haven't ever gotten around to getting one.
Stick Me Designs is a company that makes meter bags that are NOT your plain old black bag. They are beautiful. Because honestly, who wants to have that boring old black bag? Not me. I've had a black meter case for 25 years now. And we all know how boring they can get.
Rickina sent me the Aqua Deco print of one of her cases. She also told me I could either keep it or have a give away. It came in a cute package and when I got it out, it was amazing! The fabric seems to be pretty durable and there are a million and one zipper pockets, and elastic bands. I put some of my things in it to give you all an idea of what it looks like.
Basically, I was able to fit in my meter, lancet device, 2 bottles of strips, insulin, emergency batteries, glucose tabs, a spare infusion set and reservoir, along with all the other supplies needed for a full pump change. I also put in my glucagon kit. And it all fit! In fact, one of the pockets on the outside of the case is lined in a cold pack material, which is where I stored my insulin.
I loved this case. But I decided to part with it. Here are my reasons, it's kind of big (obviously, to fit all of that stuff) and I would have an issue fitting it into my purse easily. I would probably get a lot of use out of it on vacations and on short trips, but not the every day use that I think a student carrying a backpack or a parent of a child with diabetes might be able to get out of it. Because it was given to me, I didn't feel right keeping it if I wasn't going to use it all the time.
So instead, I'm giving all of you a chance at winning this awesome Stick Me Designs bag. All you have to do it comment on this post before midnight CST on Monday, June 6th. I'll do a random drawing for the winner. But even if you don't win, I highly suggest you go check out Rickina's site. She has some beautiful and functional products that you should check out.
*disclaimer: This product was sent to me free of charge in exchange for me blogging about it. I was not told what to blog, only to be honest in my blog, which I have done.*

Such a pretty color!...would love a chance to win it...have not been able to purchase one yet... =)
Pretty color! ... would love a chance to win one...
Oh, how lovely that is! I've been looking for something better than the black bag I have but haven't found anything that I like. Whoever gets this is fortunate, indeed, and thanks for doing such a generous thing!
Thanks Cara for doing this giveaway!!! The Stick Me Designs is pretty cool! Is it waterproof! BTW- Love your blog!
Looks very cool!! I'll take a shot at winning it! :)
This looks amazing! I would LOVE to have a case like this. I am always losing my case since it's just black and tends to blend in everywhere. I like the idea of being able to keep a lot of stuff in it too!
I never win anything but after seeing you & Crystal blog about it. I'd love to try! Thanks for sharing your opinion :-)
I will enter for a shot at winning it. It looks cool.
I like it looks really cool.
I plan to order one. We do lots of short weekend trips and it's a pain to figure out which freebie make up bag (of several) that I have put my stuff.
But getting one from you would be nifty!
Awesome bag, I'd love to have one. Count me in.
Fingers crossed---pick me, pick me! The bag is beautiful and I would LOVE to be more organized with my diabetic supplies. I especially like that you can fit an extra step pump supplies.
I must confess though that I don't use that horrible black bag. I bought a purple marc jacobs coin purse and it perfectly fits my blood testing meter, test strips, poker, and chapstick :)
I would love to have this bag. I am hoping this can be my wallet and (almost) all things D bag. Plus, it's recommended by Molly & Dixie, too.
Carrying around a bulky black case that's stuffed to the hilt with supplies does get old. I was going to start making my own, but this would be much better!
Great looking bag! My eight year old daughter (who is a type 1 diabetic) would love a change from her boring black bag!
I don't think my last comment stuck... let's try again... I love this bag! I think my eight year old daughter would love a change from her boring black bag!
Rickina really does listen to her customers; she asked me what I was looking for in a "man-bag" and I shared with her my top priorities (e.g. look to the U.S. Military for colors; guys don't really want paisleys or the prints women might want, also the strap should be solid and able to revolve on clasps rather than sewn into the bag, enough room to hold all the D-Stuff without being as big as a briefcase), and she really did incorporate these suggestions into her bags for guys. This is a company (and owner of the company) that really does try to serve the wants and desires of its customers!
I would LOVE to win this!! It would be great to have a cute bag that doesn't hide in the depths of my purse. Also great to hold all my supplies so everything makes it from my purse to my backpack each day!
My daughter would love this bag. Enter us please!
I wish I wish I wish I would win!!!! :)
Did my post post?!? I wish I wish I wish I would win!!!!!
Okay, don't enter me in the drawing, because I've already won a Stick Me bag in the past and feel someone else should get a chance to win. But I just wanted to add that Rickina's bags are awesome - after winning one I ordered a second. They hold up really well and are so cute and can fit everything you need and more. :)
Would love nothing more than to win this great bag, perfect colors and my daughter could use this to carry all the necessary and helpful things that have to be taken everywhere. I have been looking at this same bag and can't wait to see if I win it for her. Thanks
I also LOVE these bags.
I would really love to win this bag!
I actually repurposed a small metal lunchbox (it has owls on it! So cute!!) for my daily supplies. It a good size and holds things pretty well - but my supplies make loud clanking noises in my backpack if I don't pack them in properly! Also, when I pack my dexcom receiver in there, it loses the signal from my site. Not so useful. All of that to say: Oooh! Pretty! Wants!
I absolutely love this bag! I think it's really wonderful what Stick Me Designs is doing for people with Diabetes who want to kick the black nylon bag (I know I do)! I think it is awesome of you to give this bag instead of keeping it! There are so many people who can't afford these types of things...
That's the prettiest diabetes supply bag I've ever seen! And I love that it can hold so much. I would be thrilled to win it! You sure you don't want to keep it?! :)
That would be awesome to have! So pretty! I have been looking for something like this!
My sister would really love this bag. I would love to win this for her. Her birthday is in 3 weeks and this would be a perfect present!
This bag looks like it would be perfect for my daughter. She has recently been having a hard time making sure all her supplies make it from her purse to her backpack and I think this would do the trick. Enter us please!!
This actually matches a jacket I own. I would use this for my medical stuff. Very pretty too.
This bag is PERFECT for what we (my 2yo son & I)need! He was recently diagnosed,so we are using insulin vials, syringes, and the whole sha-bang. The blueish color perfectly reflects a boy's mom that wants to be stylish while toting all the diabetic supplies! I will happily provide follow up pics if we win!!!
I have struggled with diabetes for 5 years now. I have become hardened to highs and lows- but a week ago, my 5 year old son wanted me to check him too as I was checking my own blood sugar. Mine popped up 94, all well on the diabetes front. However, when I checked my son and my meter flashed 204, my pump screamed bolus (gotta love the ultra link)- I promptly picked my jaw up off the floor and called our PCP. I am still shocked. So, sure, I would love a freebie- because I see lots of supplies in our future :(
Wow - that holds ALOT! I actually use a make up bag (small) that I cram with extra stuff when I head out - yuppers - I've had to go to a big bag girl - but it's okay - if one of us wins this bag - we'll be styling all the way! Now are you sure you want to give this beautiful piece of artwork away?
If I were the one with diabetes, I'd love this bag. However, my daughter is going through a dress in black Jedi knight phase, and colors horrify her. :) Good luck and may the person who wins enjoy the bag and put it to good use!
