Readers

I know there are those of you who faithfully read as many blogs as you can. I have several of you who regularly comment on my blog.
But sometimes I feel like no one is reading. I am sure that some of you deal with this too.

Logically, I know there are some people reading.

Illogically, I think no one is.

The other day I was catching up on my blog reading when I came across this post on Lemonade Life. Allison was covering several topics, but posted a website called All Top. It is apparently a site that you can look up a topic or subject and get links to other helpful websites, blogs, etc.

All Top has a diabetes page.

Allison's blog is listed there, along with Kerri's, Amylia's, Donna's, Kelly's and a whole bunch of others....including mine.

I was shocked to see it there. All total, there are probably 30 or so blog sites listed, but I was still surprised to see mine also listed there. It made me happy to know that someone was reading. And that others might find me because of All Top.

I don't write to get attention. I don't write to be famous. I write for myself. But it's nice to know that someone is paying attention.

There are so many blogs out there. And I really want to read them all, but it's hard to do that sometimes, isn't it?

I didn't know about All Top. Thanks to you and Allison for letting us know.

Cara, I am so sorry I have not commented more. Life was crazy with all of the kids home. Expect to hear more from me now that school is back in session. YEA! Oh and his teacher is Mrs. Rich, she is awesome!! Do you know her?

I know what you mean. I've had my knitting blog for almost three years, so I tend to get lots of hits and comments on my posts. (Although things are always quieter in the summer.) When I started my diabetes blog, it felt like no one would ever see it! But I remembered that's how it was when I started my knitting blog too - and sure enough, more readers every day!! Yours is among the first few D-Blogs I found, and I've been lurking for a while. About time I commented, huh? Especially since you are my twin.

Actually, when you left me the comment that your are a Gemini too, I had an ah-ha moment. WE HAVE THE SAME BIRTHDAY!!! I think that was the only other comment I'd left you - and that was back before I had my diabetes blog. So, yes, we are twins, except we were born 13 years apart. LOL

Last thing before this comment gets too, too long is about the knitting. If you can knit and purl, you can knit just about anything. For a long time, I didn't think I'd be able to learn how to purl - all my stuff was in garter stitch (knit only) for the first few months I knit. So you are ready to try patterns!!! Ravelry is a great knitting site - it's been described as "like Facebook for knitters", but I've never been on Facebook so I don't know. But you can find any pattern, get details on any yarn, keep track of all your knitting projects and supplies, and join groups and forums. We even have a Diabetic Knitters group over there. Oh, and it's FREE!!! Go to www.ravelry.com if you want to request an invite. And let me know if you get on - I'll add you to my friends!!! :)

(Sorry this is so long.)

Thanks for all the great comments! :)
Vivian, I don't believe I know her. But from your blog post, I think she sounds like the kind of teacher I want to be! :)
Karen, I had forgotten about the birthday thing! Oh, and I'm going to check out ravelry when I get home this evening and I have a little bit of time.

Cara - We are here & reading - sometimes it just takes us a while to catch up and comment!

I feel the exact same way. Sometimes I want to scream, "Is anybody out there?!!"

And then something like the Alltop listing happens and I figure, people are there, just to busy with life to comment ;)
